Reporting the nuclear weapons ban – press briefing

The Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) becomes international law On 22 January 2021.

Journalists are invited to join an Atomic Reporters online briefing at 16.30 on Monday 18 January 2021.

Strongly criticized by countries possessing nuclear weapon the TPNW prohibits the use and threat of use of nuclear weapons as well as their development and deployment. The treaty has been ratified by 51 countries, signed by 86 and was adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2020.
