After three weeks of discussion, the five-yearly Preparatory Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) enters its final and most critical week at United Nations headquarters in New York. Tariq Rauf, an Atomic Reporters Board member, is tracking its course to its uncertain May 22 conclusion.
